Kegiatan gelar musyawarah Desa Perubahan RPJM Desa Giripurno berlangsung pada Rabu, 24 Juli 2024 di Gedung Wisnu Manunggal Dusun Pringsewu. Musyawarah Desa di Balai Desa Giripurno menghasilkan keputusan penting mengenai masa jabatan kepala desa. Pertemuan ini dihadiri oleh berbagai elemen masyarakat, termasuk perangkat desa, Badan Permusyawaratan Desa (BPD), LPMD, KPMD, PKK, LINMAS, tokoh masyarakat, serta warga setempat.
Diselenggarakan atas dasar adanya keputusan Undang-Undang Nomor 3 Tahun 2024 tentang Desa. Dalam UU tersebut disebutkan, masa Jabatan Kepala Desa yang sebelumnya 6 tahun dalam 1 periode, saat ini menjadi 8 tahun dengan maksimal dua periode. Hal tersebut mendasari diadakannya kegiatan musyawarah desa di Desa Giripurno.
Narasumber dalam kegiatan musyawarah desa melibatkan Muhammad Setyo Nusantoro, S.STP, M.Si. selaku camat Ngadirejo, Arif Kurniyawan, S.Pi selaku kepala desa Giripurno, dan Subadi, S.Sos. selaku sekretaris desa Giripurno.
Musyawarah desa tersebut berlangsung sekitar satu jam ini dimulai dengan penyampaian laporan kinerja Kepala Desa selama masa jabatannya. Laporan tersebut meliputi berbagai program pembangunan yang telah dilaksanakan, seperti perbaikan infrastruktur jalan, peningkatan pelayanan kesehatan di posyandu, dan pemberdayaan ekonomi melalui program usaha kecil menengah (UKM).
Masyarakat Desa Giripurno diharapkan untuk terus berpartisipasi aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan desa serta memberikan dukungan penuh kepada Kepala Desa yang masa jabatannya baru saja diperpanjang. Diharapkan keputusan ini akan membawa desa kita menuju kemajuan dan keharmonisan yang lebih baik.
